Summary: In 1969, a renowned University of Colorado Russian History Professor excuses himself from a dinner party and mysteriously disappears. Foul play is suspected. His lover is a prime suspect. She denied any involvement in his disappearance but is later committed to the state mental hospital for forging his name to several personal documents. Months later, while still confined, she unexpectedly dies. The coroner finds a lethal dose of cyanide poison in her system. Was it suicide or murder? Love, Spies, & Cyanide is the true story of the strange disappearance of Dr. Thomas Riha, an alleged Soviet spy, and his American mistress, Galya Tannenbaum, an alleged U.S. Intelligence Agent. His disappearance and her untimely death created utter chaos and conflict among top level U.S. politicians, the FBI, and the CIA. His body was never found. The coroner's report was disputed. The case has never been solved. The files remain top secret.
