Summary: Thriller based on the novel by Stephen King, written and directed by Mick Garris and starring David Arquette and Jonathan Jackson. Alan is making the one hundred mile trip back to his hometown in order to see his ill mother. While hitchhiking, he is picked up by a shadowy figure who, as Alan soon learns, harbors a dark secret. Throughout the journey, Alan is confronted by his many fears and demons from his past - facing up to them one by one. However, his final challenge is a climatic choice between life and death; which will he pick?
